HUMANINSIDE

13 October to 2 December
Fremantle Prison Gallery
Opening: Saturday 13th October 2 – 5pm.

This multidisciplinary exhibition is the result of collaboration between artist Tania Ferrier, photographer James Kerr, Indigenous film maker Glen Stasiuk and local Aboriginal families who have shared their personal histories, particularly where these have intersected with the criminal justice system, including Fremantle Prison. The exhibition provides a platform for their voices and offers the public a way of engaging with a place and a history seen from their perspective.

This project was sponsored by Fremantle Art Centre AIR program 2011.

Catalogue essays provided by Jim Morrison and Lily Hibberd.

A forum talk in the gallery space, with invited guest speakers, will take place on Saturday 24 November, from 2 to 5pm.
