CORRIDOOR: DIATRIBES
This series references both historical Rottnest photographs from the Battye Library and the artist’s family photos. Baby blue and Rottnest ochre palette are cooled by the ultramarine flesh. The unspoken is etched on the surface of the images: the Quod Prison architectural plan, a hang-mans noose, prisoner dog tags and a chain—a chain of friendship, a chain of despair.
